About this role

The APAC Marketing team in BlackRock sets the strategic direction to drive commercial growth by designing and executing high-impact, multi-channel, and data-driven marketing strategies. Our mission is to ensure BlackRock’s offerings resonate with clients and prospective clients, raise brand awareness, and drive preference for our investment capabilities. We work closely with client businesses, product strategists, and global marketing partners to deliver integrated marketing initiatives that support our commercial goals and strategic priorities. It is the responsibility of this team to manage and implement brand, capabilities, and product campaigns, and utilise metrics to measure the return on investment and to inform and evolve future activity.

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate to join the regional AxJ Institutional Marketing team. The primary focus of the role will be the execution of integrated marketing initiatives that promote the iShares brand and ETF value proposition targeting institutional investors across Asia ex-Japan. Working closely with regional and global marketing colleagues, as well as cross-functional partners in Sales, Product, and Communications, the successful candidate will help deliver impactful campaigns, digital content, and client engagement programs that drive awareness, education, and adoption of iShares ETFs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the world’s leading ETF platform in one of the most dynamic regions globally. The candidate will also support the execution of regional marketing strategies for BlackRock’s investment capabilities and thought leadership aimed at institutional and insurance clients in the region.

Overview of Responsibility

  • Support the execution of marketing activities that align with iShares Asia ex-Japan business priorities, targeting institutional investors across key markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, China offshore, and Southeast Asia.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product, and Strategy teams to ensure marketing activities are aligned with business goals and client needs, particularly around ETF education and implementation.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and local marketing teams—including digital, events, content, and communications—to support the delivery of integrated marketing initiatives and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the iShares website and content hub by supporting content updates, localisation, and digital marketing activities (e.g., email, SEO, paid media).
  • Work with the APAC digital marketing team to track campaign performance, gather data insights, and support reporting to inform future marketing decisions.
  • Participate in product marketing efforts by supporting the development and updating of marketing materials for ETF launches and ongoing product communications.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of client events and webinar, including coordination of logistics, content, and post-event follow-up.
  • Help leverage global and regional content and thought leadership by coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and relevant distribution to local markets.
  • Support campaign execution within allocated budgets and assist in managing third-party vendors or agencies as needed.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with our brand, legal, and compliance standards, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for iShares by supporting initiatives that promote ETF awareness, brand visibility, and client engagement across internal and external audiences.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting cross-functional projects and participating in team-wide planning and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Support the execution of broader institutional marketing activities in region

Experience/Qualifications/Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within financial services, asset management, or related industries.
