The Aladdin Data team maintains a pioneering data platform that delivers high-quality data to users, including investors, operations staff, data scientists, and engineers. Our aim is to provide consistent, high-quality data while evolving our platform to support the firm's growth. We build high-performance data pipelines, enable data discovery and consumption, and continually enhance our data storage capabilities.

We are recruiting a product manager to expand our self-service digital product management team. Our products are used by BlackRock staff and customers to implement complex data environments that automate production of financial analytics.

Product Managers are responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. Key skills include gathering and prioritizing internal and external requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with engineering, design and relevant business stakeholders to ensure good faith progress towards key objectives. As an associate product manager, you’ll be in the critical role of driving product progress across one or more applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product stakeholders, designers, and engineers to process feature and enhancement requests
  • Develop a grasp of competitive products or solved problems by exploring alternatives in the market
  • Fill and prioritize sprint backlogs
  • Work with engineers and designers to draft requirements for execution
  • Identify and enable both product and operational analytics that inform future decision making
  • Report on delivery progress, focusing on both development throughput and impact against operating metrics

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a product manager or related field
  • 2 or 4-year degree in business, design, or engineering
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team and peers
  • Highly organized, willing and able to manage high volumes of detailed information
  • Experience with agile methods, with a particular focus on authoring epics, user stories, and requirements
  • Experience working with diversely skilled professionals such as user experience designers, software engineers, data scientists, and asset managers
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts
  • Market research methods, such as competitive analysis, market sizing, or other evaluation techniques
  • User research methods, such as interviewing, usability testing, or other inspection methods

Our hybrid work model
