Client Relationship Manager, Finland

About this role

Our Nordic Institutional business, with offices in Denmark, Sweden and Finland, develops and maintains relationships with asset owners including pension plans, insurance companies, foundations, endowments and family offices. We are looking for a colleague to join our relationship management function in Helsinki.

Our institutional clients have very specific needs that require genuine partnership. We aim to be their investment partner of choice by listening to and understanding their needs.  Our investment expertise and offering spans across asset classes, including a broad range of capabilities in both private and public markets, across different wrappers such as segregated mandates, ETFs and mutual funds, as well as investment technology services.

Job Purpose/Background:

The successful candidate, based in Helsinki, will be responsible for building strategic client relationships in Finland in close partnership with an experienced locally based senior relationship manager. Specifically, your aim will be to broaden existing relationships by ensuring a consistent delivery of high-quality service offering. In addition, you will have a key role in our iShares offering in Finland and in other Nordic countries.

Key responsibilities

• Support expansion of our institutional client relationships in Finland
• Service our existing clients when it comes to their relationship with BlackRock.
• Represent BlackRock’s product platform in Finland, including our indexing, active, alternatives and technology services capabilities.
• Closely co-operate with stakeholders and teams based across different offices in the Nordic and broader EMEA region.
• Arrange periodic review of product and service offering for existing clients.
• Stay current with industry and market developments.
• Maintain client information in BlackRock’s database (CRM)

Knowledge/Experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in an equivalent role in asset management, investment banking or similar
• Existing client network with institutional client segment in Finland is a plus
• A good understanding of the Finnish pension system, investment industry and competitive landscape as well as knowledge of ETFs
• CFA and/or CAIA designation is a plus

• Proactive, people-oriented team player with good listening and networking skills, an enthusiastic, upbeat communication style with passion for success
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills as well as track record of dealing with complex situations and investment solutions.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with personnel at all levels
• Good presentation and technical skills required
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Finnish (mother tongue), English (fluency required), Swedish is a plus
• Entrepreneurial spirit and is willingness to take on additional responsibility quickly
