Business Unit Overview:

The Performance Measurement and Attribution (PMA) team, part of the Global Accounting and Product Services group, has a reputation for aligning our performance attribution solutions with the evolving needs of our clients. Our core objectives are consistently driven by these tenets:

As a member of PMA, take part in the story and take ownership as a subject matter authority! We are responsible for investment performance analysis globally across all investment strategies. We work with multiple business divisions, including iShares, active and beta strategies that include both equity and fixed income products. The team focuses on using technology and project management to improve existing processes to optimize data delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a source of performance, attribution and system knowledge, providing guidance and expertise to business partners supporting our Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions mandates.
  • Learn and gain a full understanding of internal 'Aladdin' analytical systems and use them to investigate internal and external client inquires.
  • Develop knowledge of the BlackRock investment products and teams for which you have responsibility and look to continually gain greater knowledge.
  • Work closely with our global partners to ensure all production and QC process procedures are adhered to and relevant.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the various performance solutions employed by the team and their analytical outputs.
  • Partner on automation and development of existing functions.
  • Be knowledgeable of who is accountable for the quality and content of data and understand the data flows throughout the business.
  • Support PMA team members in cross functional learning processes and development.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • You have a performance, attribution or index background with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • You possess an understanding of accounting and pricing principles employed by both internal analytical tools and external fund administrators.
  • You display a knowledge of performance principles; experience with external performance tools a plus.
  • Works hard to learn new technologies, and eager to delve into Aladdin attribution methodologies and systems
  • You are passionate about learning new technologies.
  • You show a positive, proactive approach and are flexible to a constantly evolving environment.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree or national equivalent
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skill, an ability to synthesize information, summarize issues, and take initiative.
  • Take an interest in learning technical skills to assess risks accurately.
  • Exposure to data science tools (Python, Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (SQL, Perl, Java) advantageous

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal interaction capabilities
  • Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality
  • You should feel comfortable interacting independently on projects and owning internal relationships.
  • Able to work in a dynamic team environment with diverse approaches and thinking styles.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
