The Global Digital team is part of the fast-growing Global Marketing function at BlackRock which seeks to scale our platforms, embody our brand and better engage a multi-trillion dollar audience of investors, advisors and institutions. The Digital team is at the center of a company-wide focus on expanding how design, technology and data can serve our users better. We are building the firm’s digital vision, developing scaled platforms and collaborating across the business to launch simple, design-forward and user-centric experiences across our web, mobile and digital assets. 

Role Description

We are hiring a full time, fixed term position (until 30 November 2026) for a professional User Experience Designer with in-depth experience in web information architecture to help drive the future of our web platform – ishares.com and blackrock.com. You will be member of our diverse design team located in Budapest. This role will require you to span from strategy to launch, bringing a talent for simple and clear design, systems thinking, and seamless user experiences to help our professional clients accomplish their goals while keeping the focus on business objectives. 

Candidates for this role must possess strong organizational skills with relevant user experience and information architecture expertise, preferably in a regulated industry. The ability to progress things independently as well as work in a team environment is crucial, while being able to solve problems quickly and maintain creativity in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be a customer-first advocate who is a confident communicator, comfortable working through ambiguity, and not easily ruffled.  

Responsibilities

  • Transform ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into tangible experiences that provide clear, usable, useful and desirable outcomes for users. 
  • Design visuals and materials that enhance comprehension of complex financial concepts. 
  • Fully consume and become a SME on the design system by partnering with the team, encouraging its adaptation, and providing influence on future needs. 
  • Expertly create wireframes, site maps, user journeys; detailing work including annotations, functional specifications. 
  • Define and implement a global website content taxonomy, including structured categories (e.g., topics, formats, audiences, regions) and associated metadata to support dynamic content curation. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, content authors, SEO experts, product managers, and the design system team to validate and integrate taxonomy into the Content Management System-ensuring intuitive tagging, scalable content delivery, and successful execution of high-impact, end-to-end solutions. 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years sustained professional experience in digital design, as a practicing designer in either product related or agency environments designing consumer facing applications, sites. 
  • Strong portfolio of professional work with clear demonstration of your role and contributions on each project. 
  • Skilled in: 
  • Running user research, user testing - identifying user needs, actions, behaviours and emotions through research, validate prototypes through moderated and unmoderated tests 
  • Developing user journeys and wireframes 
  • Designing concepts in Figma 
  • Skilled in documenting work including annotations, functional specifications 
  • Experience creating information architecture, tagging systems, metadata frameworks. 
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation and guidelines. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to interface with development teams to ensure design delivery meets high quality standards. 
  • Effectively act on internal feedback, user testing results and learnings to iterate designs that deliver more value for the user and business. 
  • Strong presentation skills in explaining interactions, scenarios, defending design and training content authors and editors. 
  • Positive attitude, proactive, doer mentality, hungry to learn, and eager to build something new. 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English. 
  • Working from office four days/week.

Our hybrid work model
