Your team

Index & Data Solutions team (IDS) partners with internal stakeholders to secure the index and market data licensing required to power most of the firm’s investments and strategic initiatives with a focus on sustainability.

IDS is comprised of three functions: Relationship Management, Operations and COO & Governance.

The Governance Team within IDS provides transparency, reporting and entitlements data on contract rights, restrictions and requirements, and a complete and accurate contract history and record in order for analytical, comparison, and research purposes. We are focusing on building a more scalable and robust operating platform with strong governance across our contract management processes.

Your role and impact

We are looking for a motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and self-starter individual to be part of our COO & Governance team as a Market Data Contract Management Associate in Budapest.  This role offers the opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in market data and index licensing and provides an opportunity to work with an outstanding global team driving a critical function for the firm.

Your responsibilities

  • Review index and market data contracts to ensure they are in line with our policies
  • Provide oversight of various parts of the deal pipeline and contract execution processes
  • Maintain key contract terms in our contract management systems
  • Proactively identify and address opportunities to ensure the accuracy of our contract inventory
  • Provide guidance as required to internal stakeholders regarding contractual rights and restrictions

Your experience

  • A bachelor's degree preferably in finance or law
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Financial or Legal Services industry
  • Strong interest in learning BlackRock, financial services, investment industry, and ability and desire to develop expertise in new or unfamiliar areas
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a large volume of concurrent tasks within specific timeframes, with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness in work
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills in English.
  • Ability to interact comfortably and communicate clearly with a variety of levels of personnel
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, and able to quickly learn proprietary systems
