About this role

The firm’s HR function is at the leading edge in diversity (we represent over 30 nationalities and speak more than 45 languages) and effectiveness, and we’re looking for a talented colleague to join as an HR Administrative Assistant for the EMEA HR team.

The role is part of EMEA HR team that spans key operational parts of HR, including contactHR (the first point of inquiry for the majority colleague’s in BlackRock), Talent Acquisition Operations, Compensation Operations (including Payroll), Employee Relations Operations, Talent Mobility, HR Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management. These teams have the accountability for flawless HR delivery to clients in the EMEA region (and beyond). The EMEA region account for circa 4500 staff (and circa 5000 post the integration of the eFront) across 20 countries.

The role will support senior HR colleagues from across the EMEA region (predominantly based in London) providing virtual support in areas of administrative support, supporting in arrangements for some travel, expenses, scheduling key meetings and other key organizational activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the calendars and schedules of the teams’ leaders, ensuring they are well-prepared for meetings and events
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reports, and visa applications for the senior leaders and the team
  • Organise the itineraries of visitors, co-ordinate conference rooms and materials.
  • Meeting and event preparation and organization across multiple locations.
  • Perform ad hoc project work and provide additional assistance to teams as required

Tenure / Experience requirements:

  • 2 years of of experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, or a similar role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience in a role in a multi-national organization
  • Experience in managing events, business trips, or personal expenses
  • Supporting a group of directors in a remote setting is not required but preferred


Core skills required:

  • Superior skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills, detail orientated and time management
  • Absolute discretion and appropriate handling of highly sensitive information essential
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, anticipate needs and make sound decisions with minimal direction
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments with high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines in high pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be proactive in assisting others as needed
  • High level of English is a must

Our hybrid work model
