Fundamental Equities is part of BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group (PMG) which includes Fundamental and Systematic strategies across Equities, Fixed Income, and Multi‑Asset. Fundamental Equities manages $269bn across 17 teams and 220+ professionals, using traditional analytics to select stocks and build deliberate, diversified portfolios. Supported by cutting‑edge technology, sophisticated models, and embedded research, our investment approach aims to deliver superior performance for clients and is a core pillar of the BlackRock brand.
About Product Strategy
Product Strategists serve as a critical link between portfolio managers and our global clients and relationship managers. We work closely with investment teams and leverage deep product and market expertise to make the investment process accessible and relevant for clients.
Our Core Product Strategy team in Budapest acts as an innovation hub, producing timely and effective marketing materials, product presentations, and responses to client inquiries for strategies across Fundamental Equities. In addition to supporting existing clients, core product strategists help drive new asset growth, defend existing business, and contribute to the team’s broader commercial objectives.
This fixed‑term role (2 years) is designed for an Analyst with dual objectives:
As a product strategist: maintainhigh standards of client servicing and contribute directly to commercial priorities.
As a platform strategist: translate business objectives into actionable technology projects, drive innovation, and enable commercial outcomes across global Product Strategy teams.
Role Profile
Key Responsibilities:
Develop in-depth knowledge ofequity markets,productsandinvestment processes
Assist London-based Product Strategists and Portfolio Managers by delivering bespoke materials,performanceand competitor analytics; drive the production of standard client collateral (presentations, RFIs,commentaries) and own internal and external reporting
Support commercial priorities by responding to client and prospect inquiries on the team’s strategies. Collaborate on standard RFI production, DDQs and other client questionnaire completion
Stay current on regulatory and structural trends, ensuring that new and existing products comply with relevant requirements
Contribute to cross‑functional commercial and technology projects aligned with strategic objectives, with a focus on efficiency gains and data‑driven insights
Deliver automated analytics tools, workflow enhancements, and reporting solutions that strengthen operational scalability
Drive data‑driven insights that support senior management in the decision‑making process
Socialize project outcomes across stakeholder groups and present project outcomes, solutions, and insights to senior management
You should have:
1+ years in financial services, preferably with focus on equity markets
Excellent communication skills across both verbal and written mediums. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
Strong data management and manipulation skills; Experience with Python or R programming language is essential
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Co-Pilot, and ability to develop familiarity and skills using proprietary technology. Experience with data visualisation (e.g. dashboard building in Tableau or PowerBI) is essential
Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency around deadlines and an ability to multitask
Proactive, problem-solving attitude supported by the ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
Keen interest in global financial markets; be up to date on macro events and market trends
