Job Duties: Serve as Funds Shareholder Registrar (i.e., Transfer Agent) Subject Matter Expert for the iShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Work closely with multiple ETF transfer agent (TA) service providers. Monitor operations of transfer agent service providers for US and Canadian iShares ETFs. Ensure consistent, high-level service is provided from each TA service partner firm. Coordinate firm-wide support for ETF launches, transitions, and terminations. Investigate and resolve daily TA operational queries, issues, and incidents related to TA partners’ functions and services. Ensure that the TA’s process distributions and other corporate actions appropriately. Collaborate with various teams across BlackRock to support the full life cycle of the ETFs. Draft and maintain written procedure documents. Improve controls, governance, and oversight of ETFs and TA service partners’ operations. Review prospectuses and annual reports for accuracy of TA-sourced data. Review and approve TA-related invoices. Provide direction on operational and transfer agent related information. Review monthly TA partner key performance indicators and service levels. Compile and review reports for regulatory requirements. Participate in annual due diligence and health check service provider review meetings with each ETF TA service partner. Act as a point of contact for ETF transfer agent partner related issues or concerns. Identify and resolve issues, raise concerns when necessary. Collaborate with proxy solicitors to successfully set up proxy campaigns, conduct proxy mailings, monitor proxy votes, and report results to senior management.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study, and 36 months of experience in Issuer Services Associate, or related role. Three (3) years of experience with: Fund operations and fund administration; Transfer agency operations; Vendor relationship management; Corporate action management, including mergers and acquisitions, stock splits, dividends, and tender offers; Financial regulatory compliance including record-keeping requirements, reporting obligations, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC) rules, and; Data analysis of transfer agent data and reports to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness for financial regulatory reporting. Two (2) years of experience with: Depository Trust Company's (DTC) Deposit and Withdrawal at Custodian (DWAC); Proxy coordination and oversight, and; Trade processing, trade settlements, income distributions, and corporate action processing. One (1) year of experience with Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) messaging platform.
