Team:
Business Integrity team within the broader treasury department is a group of dedicated professionals who are essential to the Treasury operations by ensuring that all Private Equity cash data is accurately settled and reconciled for processes including accounting, client reporting, analytics, compliance, and regulatory. We provide information services and solutions in supporting this business. The roles and responsibilities will include actively handling risk and exposure for BlackRock by ensuring the ledger book of record is reconciled with the custodian daily and act as a control function. Given the critical nature of cash management, it is crucial to maintain comprehensive visibility over all transactions to ensure that obligations to clients and their investors are consistently met. The role requires an understanding of the mechanics of the reconciliation process, exception management, troubleshooting issues, driving innovative enhancements, data analysis, maintaining documentation, assisting management in leading processes, and recommending improvements to ensure efficient and accurate processes.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team to deliver high-quality outputs in accordance with SLAs.
- Provide senior-level oversight whilst, preparing, and/or reviewing reconciliations between internal systems (Ledger) and custodian statements across multiple accounts for various clients. Includes researching differences and resolving them in a timely and accurate manner
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex operational issues and client reporting challenges.
- Completing day-to-day assigned tasks; including, control reports, cash break resolution, inbox and dashboard monitoring and escalation of outstanding exceptions.
- Address inquiries from internal & external teams, perform controls, resolve problems, and mitigate risks for clients and internal BlackRock teams.
- Participate in various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and automation initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Alternatives Client Services & Reporting, Fund Accounting, Insight and Treasury teams.
- Develop expertise around team control mechanisms and reporting.
- Constantly evaluate process and procedures for inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvement. Act as a change-management agent to consistently improve the quality control environment and develop standard methodologies.
- Raising all material risk items and service issues on a timely basis.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members to foster a high-performing and growth-oriented team culture. Maintain accurate process documents.
- Able to demonstrate ability to self-improve and develop. Understand the impact of exceptions on upstream and downstream partners.

Qualification & Knowledge:
- 5–7 years in operations, data management, accounting, or administration, with a focus on alternative investment funds. With proven experience in a Reconciliation operations role.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in people management.
- Deep understanding of alternative investment products preferably Private Equity and its fund structures and interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or similar field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on advanced excel skills and have the acumen for learning new applications.
- Preferred skills in Data Analytics and/or understanding of data science methods & implementation.
