Team:  

Business Integrity team within the broader treasury department is a group of dedicated professionals who are essential to the Treasury operations by ensuring that all Private Equity cash data is accurately settled and reconciled for processes including accounting, client reporting, analytics, compliance, and regulatoryWe provide information services and solutions in supporting this business. The roles and responsibilities will include actively handling risk and exposure for BlackRock by ensuring the ledger book of record is reconciled with the custodian dailyand act as a control function.Given the critical nature of cash management, it is essential to maintain comprehensive visibility over all transactions to ensure that obligations to clients and their investors are consistently met. The role requires an understanding of the mechanics of the reconciliation process, exception management, troubleshooting issues, driving innovative enhancements, data analysis, maintaining documentation, assisting management in leading processes, and recommending improvements to ensure efficient and accurate processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing day-to-day assigned tasks; including control reports, cash break resolution, inbox and dashboard monitoring

  • Providing high quality client service externally and internally. Address inquiries, perform controls, resolve problems, and mitigate risks for clients and internal BlackRock partners

  • Preparing bank reconciliations across multiple accounts for various clients.

  • Investigate reconciliation breaks and coordinate with relevant business units to resolve issues; escalate outstanding non-payments or receipts as necessary.

  • Address inquiries from internal & external teams, perform controls, resolve problems, and mitigate risks for clients and internal BlackRock teams.

  • Participate in various efficiency initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Alternatives Client Services & Reporting, Fund Accounting, Insight and Treasury teams. 

  • Support audits by providing required evidence of control.

  • Actively participate in weekly controls meetings and highlight risk items.

  • Accurately capture Treasury MIS data and communicate any concerns as needed.

  • The ability to prioritize and balance multiple requests without losing sight of our overall objectives.

  • Attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy for all deliverables.

  • Ability to take the initiative to follow up on issues – identify what needs to be done and work with leadership team to resolve those. 

  • You are organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to effectively articulate solutions to internal and external partners.

  • Thrive in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts

  • Keen to learn about private markets in one of the fastest growing business areas of BlackRock

Qualification & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or similar field

  • 1-2 years of experience in operations, reconciliation, accountingor administrationwith a focus on alternative investment funds.

  • Understanding of alternative investment products preferably Private Equity and its fund structures and interactions. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on advanced excel skills and have the acumen for learning new applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
