About this role
BlackRock is seeking a Vice President to join its Access & Identity Management Team. This role involves delivering end-to-end user lifecycle processes, maintaining access controls across enterprise systems and enhancing our identity and access controls.
The position requires a strong combination of operational leadership, process optimization, automation, and analytical problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead IAM Operations team, including people management, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Oversee end‑to‑end user lifecycle management, including access provisioning and modifications, in close coordination with business system owners, and IT support teams.
- Partner with management to report on team performance and drive continuous improvement against defined SLAs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for managing blocking issues related to IAM operations within the region.
- Partner with HR, IT, and Security teams to maintain accurate and compliant joiner/mover/leaver processes.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including IT, security and compliance to ensure IAM aligns with business goals.
- Perform and oversee user administration tasks for various in-house, third-party applications and BlackRock’s state-of-the-art trading and asset management platform, Aladdin.
- Administer Shared mailbox, Distribution Groups, contacts and Public Folder in Exchange Online.
- Ensure adherence to SAS and SOX audit requirements related to IAM, including obtaining and documenting required approvals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline IAM workflows and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to IAM training initiatives.
- Remain current on emerging IAM technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements, incorporating relevant enhancements.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent with 8-12 years of experience in relevant domain including 3 years in people or team management.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Active Directory (user/group administration, LDAP concepts)
- Work-flow Management Tools (i.e. ServiceNow, JIRA etc.)
- New Technology File System (“NTFS”) permissions.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure (Entra ID).
- Basic knowledge of UNIX administration commands.
- Knowledge of enterprise-level Identity Management systems (e.g. SailPoint IdentityIQ, Okta).
- Experience in Exchange Administration Exchange Admin Center (both ECP, EAC): creating and maintaining mailboxes, distribution lists, contacts and public folders.
- Experience delivering user lifecycle operations and handling access requests and approvals at scale.
- Exposure leading Project on tight deadlines and versatility/flexibility & willingness to work with constantly evolving priorities.
- Familiarity with access certifications, audits, and remediation processes.
- Experience with automation and scripting (SQL, PowerShell) preferred.
- Familiarity with CSPs like Microsoft Azure (Entra ID), AWS, GCP etc. would be added advantage.
- Excellent skills in problem solving, documentation, and communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a good attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or experience (e.g., CISM, Six Sigma) preferred.
