About this role

Preqin, a part of BlackRock is seeking an experienced and self-driven Credit Controller to manage multi-currency sales ledgers. Working within our fast-paced and collaborative Finance team, you’ll take ownership of receivables for the EMEA region and play a key role in ensuring timely cash collection while fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Sales and Billing teams across the EMEA region to resolve invoice disputes, ensure account accuracy, and maintain healthy cash flow.

This role reports into VP, Head of Credit Control, based in London, UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage global accounts receivable ledgers, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments from international clients.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams across different time zones and cultures.

  • Communicate professionally with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding payment status.

  • Proactively monitor and resolve billing disputes in collaboration with Sales and Billing departments.

  • Ensure compliance with internal credit control procedures and contribute to the development of best practices.

  • Process and allocate payments received, ensuring accurate reconciliation.

  • Prepare and deliver regular aging and debt reports for regional sales teams.

  • Lead periodic debt review meetings with global sales teams to provide account insights and resolve outstanding issues.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to streamline global credit operations.

  • Allocate cash from the bank (HSBC) to NetSuite.

  • Support ad-hoc finance initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit control, ideally within a global environment.

  • Proven track record in improving collections and streamlining receivables processes.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage confidently across cultures and seniority levels.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word).

  • Experience using ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a strong plus.

  • Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and meeting targets in a fast-paced setting.
