Reignite your career
Our Career Returnship Program, available in the U.S. and Europe, is designed to support individuals who have taken a career break of 18+ months in their return to full-time work.
Starting in September (EMEA) and October (U.S.), participants will have the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. We are looking for experienced professionals who are client-focused and passionate about performance. Those who exhibit collaborative and innovative mindsets, along with strong prioritization, analytical and organizational skills, will excel in this program.
Over the course of the program, participants will:
- Join teams and have an immediate impact
- Immerse themselves in the work of their teams
- Gain an understanding of how BlackRock serves its clients
- Be supported through training and mentorship
- Get exposure to senior leaders
- Participate in social and networking opportunities
Upon successful completion, participants may be eligible for full-time positions at the firm.
Supporting your return
To fully support participants in their transition back to full-time work, we will provide an internal mentor and a buddy for your day-to-day questions. We offer a variety of employee networks to help you integrate into the business and culture. You will also benefit from coaching as well as peer support.

Eligibility: Prior experience in investment management or broader financial services, 18+ month career break, authorized to work in the U.S.
Location: Potential openings in New York, Atlanta or Wilmington – see roles for specific locations
