Shaping the future of fintech and investments
BlackRock for Universities (BLK4U) is a unique educational initiative designed to teach the principles of portfolio construction to the next generation of fintech and investment professionals. The program was born from the innovative spirit of the 2020 Atlanta Hackathon. BlackRock for Universities’ mission is to connect, educate, mentor and share the BlackRock story with aspiring professionals.
What does BLK4U do?
We’ve established relationships with more than 20 colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada, and we’re continuously expanding!
- Our program teaches students how to use Portfolio 360, a component of the Aladdin suite that has been customized for academic purposes.
- BlackRock investment professionals teach a foundational course in portfolio construction, featuring four classes that highlight Aladdin as the language of portfolio risk.
