About this role
Based in our Riyadh Office, BlackRock is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual interested in working in a fast-paced, international environment to build and lead a team in the alternative investment industry. The candidate assumes a multi-faceted role which requires a passion for the energy sector (which remains a core focus area of the infrastructure investment business) and related infrastructure investments, energy industry experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, strong analytical and conceptual skills and flexibility. The fund will also look at investments in transport and digital infrastructure and therefore any relevant experience and expertise in this area would also be appreciated.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Investments: driving the due diligence, structuring, negotiation and closing of direct investment opportunities in the global energy infrastructure sector.
Portfolio Management: ongoing management of completed investments and, in due course, exit processes

Knowledge/Experience:
7-10 years+ of work experience in a professional environment with strong exposure to the Middle East Market, an understanding of the investable opportunity within the infrastructure asset classes (e.g. energy, power, digital and transport).
Candidates will be considered with robust backgrounds in infrastructure or private equity investment teams or in a project finance and / or investment banking / M&A environment.
Hands-on approach, and willingness to contribute to driving client-focused origination and lead transactions on a day-to-day basis
Strong financial analytical, team-working and communication skills required.
Candidates are expected to have a strong academic background and highly rated in their careers to date.

Native Arabic Speaker
Commercial, analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail
Risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
Project management and organization skills
Persuasive and polished written and oral communication skills capable of dealing with complex, multicultural teams with internal and external members.
Ability to effectively distill complex concepts into clear and simple themes
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and willing to assume additional responsibilities
