The International Cash Management Group manages a suite of products that includes Prime and Government Money Market and Ultra-Short Duration Mutual funds and Separate Accounts. Job Purpose and Responsibilities
The International Cash Management Group is seeking an individual to support the Product and Platform team to shape the function, and design and implement best practice processes and procedures for the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational, analytical and problems solving to support the client and product lifecycle in this this growing, fast-paced business. The role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to execute on multiple projects to improve controls, mitigate risk, manage costs and increase efficiencies and support a positive client experience.
The role will bring the individual into regular contact with senior stakeholders across the business and being comfortable in these circles, while providing subject matter detail, is crucial. Close interaction with all business functions (Sales, Product Strategy, Marketing and Portfolio Management) will be expected, as well as with other key businesses within BlackRock – external service providers, GAAPs, Global Product Group (“GPG”), Finance, Legal and Compliance.
Primary responsibilities include:
Maintain product and platform oversight to ensure business stability and support growth.
Support Cash Leadership in providing operational, analytical and platform management support to this growing, fast-paced business.
Support product lifecycle events.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all industry and regulatory requirements related to, for example, European MMF Reform and UCITs regulations.
Coordinate and lead key technology, operational and strategic initiatives across the global business.
Support sales enablement through answering product and platform queries, reporting, coordinating and crafting responses to RFI/ RFPs/ DDQs, AML/ KYC oversight, record keeping and reporting obligations etc.
Drive a robust investments platform through end-to-end excellence in tech and processing. Partner the portfolio management desk to expand balance sheet through new instruments and counterparties.
Support and execute process improvement initiatives across Global Cash to improve controls, mitigate risks, manage costs and increase efficiencies.
Partner with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Product Strategists regarding fund and customized opportunities to determine appropriate solutions.
Support in the development, communication and execution of long-term strategic vision and growth targets.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Transfer Agency, Tech & Ops, Legal & Compliance.
Knowledge / Experience Required
Interest in financial markets and understanding of the money market fund industry is preferred
Research, quantitative or analytical skills
Presentation and written communication skills
Bachelors degree
Interpersonal skills to help foster an inclusive culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Intellectually curious with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a complex environment
