Associate Messaging Infrastructure Engineer
We are looking for a messaging infrastructure engineer to join the Production Engineering team, working within the Aladdin Platform Group. A person who has a passion for technical troubleshooting, learning new technology tools and improving new procedures & processes. This role involves identifying trends and being a problem solver with a proven aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and proprietary systems. You will be a technical product expert during customer implementation projects, organize and implement the system deployment plans, while automating infrastructure management and developing reports in compliance with applicable project requirements.

Role Responsibility
- Build, update, and maintain tooling to deploy, upgrade, monitor, and maintain messaging infrastructure hosted in Azure and AWS.
- Designing, implementing and working with automated solutions for cloud-based infrastructure.
- Developing or modifying solutions to automate tasks and meet business requirements.
- Help to suggest and design both short-term and long-term engineering solutions to improve existing operational workflows.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to understand their roles and requirements and clearly communicate with them on progress, challenges, and questions.
- Ensure resilience and stability through quality configuration reviews, regression testing, and level two production support for owned tools.
- Provide on-call support on a rotational basis including weekend coverage.
- Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-time zone environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
- A degree specializing in Computer Science, Technology, MIS, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
- 1 – 4 years of industry experience in an engineering role.
- Experience with messaging technologies & platforms like Apache Kafka, Azure's Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, IBM MQ or Google Cloud's Platform Pub/Sub.
- Exposure to and understanding of cloud ecosystems such as Azure or AWS, including knowledge of their respective APIs for provisioning and monitoring.
- Experience in a programming language such as Python, Java or PowerShell and their respective testing modules.
- Understanding of Agile work environments, including knowledge of Azure DevOps, GIT and CI/CD.
- Experience troubleshooting clients' technical issues, and experience working with engineering teams, sales, professional services, and customers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with teams across geography.
- Create and deliver best practices recommendations, documentation for internal wiki pages, and presentations.
Good to have:
- Experience with Linux server environments.
- Experience with configuration management or Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with Kubernetes environments.
- Previous experience working in the Financial Services or Technology industry.
