Team Overview:
Platform Client Engagement (PCE) is part of the Platform Product Office within BlackRock’s Aladdin Engineering organization. Our team supports over 200 external organizations that use Aladdin offerings. PCE plays a crucial role liaising between our Aladdin business and the Aladdin platform, providing technical support for Aladdin clients, leading the technical implementation of Aladdin at new clients, and providing business development support and management of projects for client technology requirements.
Job Purpose / Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will join the PCE Aladdin Client Connectivity team, fostering robust relationships with a diverse range of internal and external teams to provide both tactical and strategic connectivity solutions and support. This role demands a technically adept individual with outstanding communication and organizational abilities, capable of engaging with various levels of technical expertise across teams from business to infrastructure engineering. Responsibilities include engaging with BlackRock clients to discern their needs, customizing private connectivity solutions for Aladdin platform access, and managing project delivery to align with business objectives.
- Coordinate technical private connectivity infrastructure projects for Aladdin clients, both new and existing.
- Manage ongoing client connectivity support and maintenance.
- Engage in high-level strategic discussions regarding connectivity engineering design.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of comprehensive documentation.
- Undertake additional technical tasks to support the Aladdin business.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate is expected to possess and demonstrate the following:
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in networking concepts (DNS, Subnetting, IP).
- Proven experience in coordinating the deployment of enterprise networking technologies (VPN/IPSEC, MPLS, etc.).
- Aptitude for technical troubleshooting across desktop technologies and fundamental TCP/IP networking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of initiative and teamwork.
- Competence in prioritizing and resolving high-stakes conflicting demands.
- A results-driven professional dedicated to achieving objectives with a proactive approach.
- A minimum of 2 years in roles such as technical support engineer, desktop support engineer, IT help desk, or similar.
Desirable Skills
- Scripting or rudimentary programming skills for task automation.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
- Exceptional technical writing capabilities or prior experience in documentation.
- Familiarity with Unix-like O.S. such as Linux.
