[MUSIC PLAYING] CHRIS MORRIS: My name’s Chris Morris. I’m a vise president at BlackRock in the ETF and index investments business. I work on the iShares Capital Markets team running our primary market platform, which allows authorized participants and clients to create and redeem shares in our ETFs on a daily basis. I studied aerospace engineering at the University of Liverpool. Straight from the university joined the Royal Air Force as an engineer officer. And I served in the Royal Air Force for eight years, and then left to join BlackRock.
There’s such a huge amount of innovation going on at BlackRock. We’re constantly trying to build and develop our business. And because of that, there’s so many projects and so many opportunities to get involved with. On a daily basis, we’ll be dealing with different project teams and people all over the globe. Not only are we incredibly focused on what we do and what we deliver, but we also have great fun as a team. Every day is enjoyable.
BlackRock offers a unique challenge for people of a technical background. In the Royal Air Force, I was in a highly analytical role in risk management, deployed and facing challenges all over the globe. BlackRock offers that exact same challenge. We have to meet a multitude of tasks from completely diverse and different backgrounds on a daily basis. And it really challenges your outlook and how you interact with people to meet those challenges. And everything we do is focused around delivering as a team and delivering value for our clients, which I think is incredibly important.
