About this role

Key Responsibilities:

This role will report to the Global Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) within the Enterprise Services team. The position will support the development and delivery of the HSE Program while maintaining and managing a range of HSE initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting global operations and delivering the following programs regionally: Emerging Health Concerns and Pandemic, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Workplace Injury and Illness Prevention, Travel and Event Safety, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Programs, Occupational Health and Health Centers, and Environmental Compliance, while partnering with teams across the firm to ensure that the delivery of HSE program areas are within regulatory compliance. This role will be a regional subject matter expert on HSE topics and be responsible for regional regulatory oversight. Regional oversight will require partnering with remote, cross-functional team members to support HSE programs and initiatives at existing locations along with design and construction projects for new and existing offices. This role will support compliance verification, regional training programs and will be responsible for relationship management with senior stakeholders in the region. In addition to stakeholder management, the role will provide HSE information and updates and overall SME support to local business managers, country heads, and COOs. This role will:

  • Oversee the delivery of HSE programs and initiatives in APAC and ensure alignment with

  • the global program

  • Act as the regional subject matter expert for regulatory requirements and program areas

  • Support the development and coordination of new HSE program areas in

  • partnership with the global team

  • Work cross-functionally with internal partners to ensure compliance with BlackRock HSE standards and local regulations

  • Support regional initiatives

  • Be the main regional point of contact and manage relationships with stakeholders across the region

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong experience managing stakeholders and building relationships virtually across countries and business areas

  • Significant experience in HSE program management and execution

  • Strong, broad understanding of regulations in relation to safety, environmental and occupational health

  • Experience with program management and monitoring / reporting program success through metrics

  • Advanced skills in MS Office 2010, including Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and Outlook

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy with strong time management skills

  • Strong, clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working effectively in a matrix organization

  • Academic background in HSE; will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience
