About this role
BlackRock Investment Management, LLC seeks Associate, Portfolio Management in Sausalito, CA to perform portfolio construction, rebalancing, and investment strategy analysis. Req’s: Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation: performing portfolio management operations functions, including maintaining custodial relationships, performing portfolio accounting, rebalancing, and reconciliation; analyzing securities markets, derivatives products and market behavior on margin disputes to inform counterparty defaults utilizing SQL, VLOOKUP and VBA; working with derivative brokers’ corporate actions on any bonds liquidation or stock splits to ensure collateral utilizing these market products to reflect the most current market shares; leading various projects in the margin trading process; utilizing VLOOKUPs and SQL in Excel to analyze automation efficiency and improve automation rate; and facing clients to answer questions on derivatives operations processes and providing customized reports for their internal reconciliation purposes. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of the above listed fields and five (5) years of experience in the above listed skills. For California only the salary range for this position is $109,000 – $130,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. In line with local health guidance and regulations, employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week.
