About this role
BlackRock’s Fixed Income team manages more than $1.9 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles.
Our Bank Loan Portfolio Management Team is searching for a Fixed Income Credit Analyst (Vice President) based in New York City.
Responsibilities:

Work directly with members of the bank loan portfolio management group and analysts within BlackRock’s leveraged finance business to assist in monitoring and managing credit risk related to loan positioning within dedicated leveraged loan portfolios and across BlackRock’s fundamental fixed income platform.

Partner with industry analysts in the leveraged finance team to evaluate relative value and positioning across sectors within the loan market.

Work directly with BlackRock’s capital market group on opportunities in new issue bank loans.

Act as lead day-to-day analyst on less liquid loan opportunities and existing positions.

Oversee and manage junior level credit research support infrastructure to help scale monitoring of existing positions and potential secondary market opportunities.

Help in monitoring and managing risk across products that invest in loans in coordinating with BlackRock’s Risk and Quantitative Analysis Group (RQA) and as a member of the bank loan portfolio management group.

Maintain strong relationships with Product Strategists, Portfolio Managers, Capital Markets, Legal and other groups which support the loan business.
Requirements/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics with superior academic record.

5+ years of relevant and similar experience working as a research analyst in the bank loan market.

Comfort and ability to interpret and communicate on bank loan term sheets and credit agreements.

Strong presentation, organizational and communication skills.
-
Strong financial modeling, analytical and communication skills are paramount.

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
